Where does time go?
Seems like I just started the new year - and now almost 2 months gone! I have been busy in the studio working
on new paintings and building inventory for my space in Wishing Spring Gallery here in Bella Vista which will be opening
for the season on February 26th. I have pulled the oils back out! ("Acadia Reflection" on the Home page and "Sasha" here) Also, working
on pet portraits with the goal of receiving some commissions soon. Since I have 2 adopted dogs in my house I plan
to donate part of the proceeds to the local animal shelters.

New Year
A new year always brings reflection on the past and incentive to do better in the future. After much procrastination, I've
finally spent the afternoon updating my website. The perfectionist in me wants to continue working on it, but I must
post it and move on. It will always be a work in progress. Picking up the brushes and creating new work is more
important. Last year came and went while I spent all my time focused on moving, first my household, then my parents
from North Carolina to NW Arkansas. Moving didn't used to be so hard, but 16 years worth of friends are hard to
leave. My art has suffered through all this, but I know there are better things to come and I thank God for the
blessings and opportunities. I will not run out of subject matter here and as time goes on I will gain many new friends,
too.
